finally friday

A whole day and a half without writing - so much for my conviction to write again. Although, I did some cathartic stream-of-consciousness scribbling in my new journal last night, which really is the better of the two outlets.

I slept through the alarm again today, or rather - the radio went off at 6:30 as usual, but I didn't become conscious 'til nearly 8 am. Managed to get myself together and leave by 9, which was a slight improvement over my gradual sloppy decline.

Breakfast - smoothie with banana, soy, yogurt, raspberries and blueberries. Organic rye toast with strawberry jam.

Yesterday breakfast - oats, berries, almonds and soy milk for breakfast. Slice of unidentifiable loaf at the John Watson session at Michael J Fox theatre.

Lunch - fettucine frutti di mare, at l'Artista with Rob and Jason, my boss.

Dinner - a couple pieces of rye toast and cherry jam, then later on, a stir-fry - peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, onion and spinach, with grilled chicken and my own sauce - sesame oil, garlic chili and soya sauce.

Snacks - several chunks of Toblerone throughout the day.

Weighed myself this morning, and was really excited when the number on the scale was 113. In reality, it's 113 +5 pounds 'cause the cheap crappy scale doesn't really work, but I prefer seeing the lower number and adding 5. Getting off the scale, I noticed that it was a couple pounds out, in the scale's favour. Still, all in all I'm holding steady at 115-ish. Which feels just right.
